Current Report & Forecast Drought Impacts & Outlook for the Northeast Region, July 2016 By NOAA NOAA Regional Climate Services, in collaboration with the Northeast and Southeast Regional Climate Centers, the National Weather Service offices in MA and NY, the NOAA/National Center for Environmental Information, the USDA Ag Hub, and the state climatologist from NH (phew!) released a short summary of the drought situation in the Northeast (New York to Maine). Salmon Falls Watershed Success Safari

Safari participants hear from Patti Connaughton-Burns from Moose Mountains Regional Greenways on Stop #3 of the Safari Bus Tour.   In 2009 PREP helped to form the Salmon Falls Watershed Collaborative to improve watershed planning and management — and to protect water supply sources — in the Salmon Falls River watershed. PREP is part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Estuary Program, a joint program between local, state and federal agencies established under the Clean Water Act with the goal of protecting and enhancing nationally significant estuarine resources. PREP is supported in part by an EPA matching grant and is housed within the School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering at the University of New Hampshire.
