CCMP Mid-Point Check-In

It’s amazing to believe that it was over 5 years ago that PREP marked the initiation of our 10-year Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) with our Management Committee, partners & esteemed guests. It was a gorgeous mid September Saturday in 2010 when we proudly unveiled the 2010-2020 CCMP to over 50 gathered attendees. It was a the culmination of over a year’s worth of facilitation, stakeholder engagement and strategizing and it was both exciting and inspiring.

Now that we’ve arrived at the halfway mark PREP has developed a “check-in” document to look back at what’s been completed and to re-prioritize for the future. The process began earlier in 2016 and involved the PREP Management Committee through a survey process and a sub-committee to help process the survey input and establish focus for 2016-2020.

PREP is part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Estuary Program, a joint program between local, state and federal agencies established under the Clean Water Act with the goal of protecting and enhancing nationally significant estuarine resources. PREP is supported in part by an EPA matching grant and is housed within the School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering at the University of New Hampshire.
