NHANRS Scientific Buffer Report

March (2015) the NH Association of Natural Resource Scientists (NHANRS) formed a Legislative Committee to investigate the scientific basis for establishing protective buffers to jurisdictional wetlands in New Hampshire. The effort was to provide the science for use in future discussions regarding the need to advance wetland protection.

The findings and recommendations from the Legislative Committee are provided in the NHANRS Scientific Wetland Buffer Report.

PREP is part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Estuary Program, a joint program between local, state and federal agencies established under the Clean Water Act with the goal of protecting and enhancing nationally significant estuarine resources. PREP is supported in part by an EPA matching grant and is housed within the School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering at the University of New Hampshire.
