What We Do

The Partnership summarizes data from monitoring programs in the region using environmental and social indicators, which are measurable markers that help interpret the condition of the environment and how it changes over time. The Partnership currently tracks 23 different indicators of water quality, shellfish resources, land use, critical species and habitats, and social behavior. Every five years, the Partnership publishes a status and trends report called the State of Our Estuaries.

The report is designed to provide readers with an accurate understanding of environmental trends for the Great Bay and Hampton-Seabrook estuaries so that they can make informed land use and resource management decisions.

In addition to the Stories from Our Estuaries video series, the Partnership's Coastal Scientist produces an "Ask Our Scientist" video series highlighting components of the Partnership's monitoring and research. Ask Our Scientist Video Series 

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) serves as an advisory committee of experts to discuss and advise on technical, science-based issues related to the estuary program, State of Our Estuaries reports, and the implementation of the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP).

In addition to the broader TAC, workgroups are established for specific topics and/or issues. These workgroups provide an opportunity to focus on issues requiring specific technical expertise.

All reports, publications, data, and quality assurance project plans (QAPPs) that are produced, organized, or paid for by the Partnership (PREP) are available on the UNH Scholars' Repository. The collection includes records from 1979 to the present.
