The actions below are not meant to be exhaustive but reflect a menu of prioritized recommendations for communities. Actions are directly related to the questions found on the PREPA assessment forms and reflects both regulatory and non-regulatory actions. PREP is committed to assisting communities and is requesting proposals for the 2021 PREPA Grant Program from municipalities and partnering organizations for projects resulting in achievement or significant progress toward achievement of one or more of the following recommended actions.

Adopt a 10% effective impervious cover cap for new and redevelopment
Adopt no vegetation disturbance buffer to 100' on tidal wetlands
Increase wetland setbacks for septic systems to 100'
Use the NH Coastal Flood Risk Summary Part 2: Guidance for Using Scientific Projections to require project siting and design based on future climate projections (sea-level rise, storm surge, groundwater rise, and precipitation)
