The NH Coastal Adaptation Workgroup's (CAW) 9th (and 1st virtual) Climate Summit will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 26 (1-4 PM) and the morning of Thursday, May 27 (9AM-12PM).
Day 1 will feature a keynote address from A.R. Siders, assistant professor at the University of Delaware in the Disaster Research Center. The remainder of Day 1 and Day 2 will consist of updates from local researchers, municipal representatives, and partners sharing the latest science about local climate impacts as well as recent adaptation projects in NH's coastal watershed communities. Day 2 will also include the announcement of the 2021 CAW Climate Champion Award. Agenda and a link to register are available at the link below. Registration is free, but space is limited. Model Drinking Water Buffer Regulation Workshop
Join Rockingham Planning Commission and Strafford Regional Planning Commission as they present their final draft statewide model Drinking Water Quality Buffer Regulation. The model recommends a minimum drinking water quality buffer but also considers landscape level and site-specific criteria to increase the minimum buffer, when appropriate, to protect water quality.
All NH municipalities and stakeholders are welcome to attend this free workshop, which takes place via Zoom on May 24 from 2-4 p.m.
