52 towns in New Hampshire and Maine flow into the Great Bay and Hampton Seabrook Estuaries. From the headwaters to the sea, there are many different rivers, ponds, and lakes that flow through the 52 towns. Each body of water has a special meaning to those who live by it, play in it, or see it and each deserves attention and protection. There are a variety of groups, efforts, and initiatives that work to protect and preserve the tributaries and they are always looking for interested volunteers.
